The best way after a long season is to spend some time at home with the families. They can’t get any fitter. They could do with a physical and mental rest. A few days training with a reminder of the basics, which we always do.

To be fair I'm quite happy about this. Fuck all to play for in the final game other than a single league placing. While I appreciate that brings extra money, it seems our players will have fuck all time off in the summer with a 2nd July start in Europe so if it gives them a bit more relaxation time then I applaud it
